A PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father,  (Romans 8:15) says,  You are our protector. (Psalm 91) help us to know you are.
I pray that the victims of terrorism may find comfort in You, for You are our refuge. I pray that society may become one in goodness, and, in love, we may embrace all those who lost a loved one, especially a parent. I pray that our society may be transformed and reflect Your glory in the Trinity, as we become more caring for one another, as much as we are for our own interests. (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13)
I pray that You would put a hedge around our homes, ourselves, our children and our loved ones, that wherever we go, no evil person or no evil whatsoever will be able to harm us. (Job 1:10)

I pray that You would hedge in the terrorists, who plan to harm innocent people, with mighty angels, that their hands be tied down, that their feet be stumbling, that their tongues be giving away their identity, that they may not be able to harm the innocent ones in any way, and that they be caught by the authorities. (Psalm 91:8-10; Judges 7:22)
I pray that there may be unity in the world against evil, that the world leaders may hear Your voice, choose good over evil, lead their nations in peace and for peace, and work together to bring peace to the world, tolerating differences of opinions, religions and races, but not tolerating evil. (1 Timothy 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:15; Romans 13:3-4)
I pray that the bondage of darkness in the hearts of these evil people be broken and instead their hearts be enlightened by Your truth and love, that they may not only give up their terrorism, but give their lives to You, our Father, through Your Son Jesus Christ, and be filled with Your Holy Spirit, so that they may live lives led by the Spirit, always seeking the good of others as well as their own, obedient to Your Word in all matters. (Ephesians 2:2; Ephesians 1:16-20; Romans 8:5-6)
I pray that we, the Christians, may be revived; that we, as Your children in Christ, may willingly participate in the priestly ministry of Christ’s intercession and reconciliation through the enabling Holy Spirit within us; and that we may intercede for the protection of loved ones, and for the correction and salvation of those who choose to be hostile against humanity. (Hebrews 4:14; 1 John 2:1; 1 Peter 2:9)
I pray that You, by Your grace, may fill us with the fullness of Your Holy Spirit that we may enjoy the privileges of belonging to Your kingdom, and keep on interceding with perseverance and never give up loving all and doing good to all by the power of the Holy Spirit, to Your glory, our Father in heaven, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (2 Thessalonians 1:11; Colossians 4:2; Colossians 3:17)
